2/3 cup liquid starch

2 cups soap flakes

2-4 tbsps. water

blue food coloring

Mix the starch and soap together well. Gradually add the water while beating with a rotary egg beater - the mixture should be thick. Add a few drips of blue and beat until the stuff looks icy-white. Paint it on top of the outer branches of a dry tree before you decorate it. (Sprinkle with white or translucent glitter to add "crystals".)
