Chickweed Anti-Itch Ointment
  

Chickweed grows just about everywhere as a weed... Gather some! To one cup of melted lard add1/2 cup dried and powdered chickweed. Set this in the sun, in a dehydrator, in a pilot-lit-only oven (i.e., very low heat, about 100 degrees) for 2 days. Strain the now-green liquid into sterilized half-pint (or smaller) jars. Store in a cool place. This is reportedly miraculous for mosquito bites!
