Beaded Eggs (, Pins, Ornaments, etc.)
  

These are time-consuming but lovely... Simply stated, glue seed beads onto blown eggs in desired designs. You can leave some eggshell space showing through - but the most successful designs, for the long-term, are filled in entirely... because individual beads are much less likely to rub off and be lost. The easiest method is to string the beads (tight together) on thread and just wrap the strand around the glue-covered egg (a section at a time is best - wait for it to dry before going on to the next segment). You can use all one color, or use multicolored strands; or string several inches of one color before going on to another, in a rainbow effect; or try for an ikat-type design.

Use the same basic mosaic-like technique for patterning a bead "skin" on other objects, such as simple brooches and Christmas tree ornament shapes.
