Easter egg decoration for the nimble-fingered:
Punch "holes" (dots) from colored paper... Glue
all around a blown egg like scales of a fish, overlapping
rows as well as along the line of each tier. You can make
each all one color or mix colors of dots; and make parallel
rows bisecting the egg, or glue them on in a spiral, zigzag,
wave pattern, or on the diagonal.
[Another version for the less
nimble-fingered: Use canceled postage stamps to cover
the egg with "scales". Best with a glue like
Modge-Podge, which both tacks them down and clearly seals
the surface afterward. You can buy stamps in bulk, or steam
of your own!]
