What could be more delightful to work at than lavender
crafts? This is so simple and wonderful… if you like the
old-fashioned scent of lavender! - lavender
blossom-covered balls tied with elegant ribbons.
Just
cover styrofoam balls (or other shapes desired) in tacky
white glue (or use a hot glue gun) and roll in dried
lavender buds sprinkled on a cookie sheet. Spread glue
on one half or less at a time, so you can still hold the
object and set it on newspaper to dry; then do the rest.
Shake off the excess and tie with a filmy, fairly wide
ribbon, perhaps one with wire edges, and add a hanging
loop at the top. For a stronger scent, drop a few drops
of lavender essential oil onto the finished product. A
set of these on a Christmas tree would fill the room
with a hint of spring in winter. (Nice in a closet as
well as on the tree!)
