1 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
4 cups flour
1 egg
coarse salt
Hey, pretzel making (and eating) can be fun!…
Combine yeast, water, sugar, and salt in a large bowl, then
stir in flour. Knead until dough is smooth. Pinch off wads
of dough to form whatever shapes you like, in outline (e.g.,
a star, a bell, a ball ornament, etc.) - use a dab of water
to "glue" parts together as needed. Place pretzel
shapes on a greased baking sheet - brush with beaten egg,
then sprinkle with the coarse salt. Bake at 425 degrees for
15 minutes.
