1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup mashed cooked pumpkin
pie spices as desired and orange zest (or dried orange
peel granules)
Beat the butter with a mixer at medium speed until
creamy; gradually add in the sugar, beating well. Add
pumpkin, then the spices, mixing thoroughly. Put in jars and
keep chilled (or, if you're giving this right before a
festive dinner, pack it into scooped-out tiny pumpkins and
tie it up in plastic wrap) - and tell the giftee to allow
the butter to stand at room temperature before serving (with
