Here's a unique styrofoam craft that kids can undertake -
and the results are super-elegant...
Glue star anise pieces around the surface of a styrofoam
ball. Fill in the interstices with pressed-in cloves and/or
other glued-on fragrant (or not so fragrant) seeds. Hang
with a wide ribbon, either wrapped once around the globe or
pinned into the top.
(Perhaps a large "kissing ball" with mistletoe
underneath?)
