Disguises
Looking for supremely unique gift wrapping ideas? - try
disguises. See Instructions
for asterisked items...
- A big package for a little present
- A little package for a big present... that’s
represented by a picture or a coupon (the pony, for
instance)
- A box within a box within a box... (or a box within a sock within a
paper bag within a box...)
- A misleadingly-shaped outer package (e.g., looks nothing
like the shape of the actual gift; in fact, it might look
misleadingly like a book, or CD, or wine bottle!... perhaps
even weighted accordingly, though the present is light)
- A misleadingly-sounding package - like: one
that includes a little packet of nuts and bolts or chiming
objects (like Chinese worry balls); filling the package with something rattle-y when the present
is solid; or trying to keep a jigsaw puzzle from
rattling! (with a vacuum-sealer?).
- Using an obfuscating container... like (as my husband has
done for me) putting socks inside a small appliance box, or
putting a movie DVD inside a used TurboTax CD case - ha!
- The spider web - Wrap a paper-wrapped package every which
way around with string... maybe even creating an
artistically wheel-like web. (This is especially useful for
a gift that’s a bizarre shape!)
- "Fruits and vegetables" - I do like that
idea of a carrot-shaped package!... Artfully-wadded
newspaper would do the trick (or how about a tin-foil
Hershey’s kiss?).
- With its own Halloween mask
