Use silky-looking "knitting ribbon" to make a
loop-stitch cover for a styrofoam wreath form. Make the
loops about 1" long (i.e., 2" of ribbon). This
takes a lot of ribbon! - about 800 yards for a 14"
ring. Shape a flat piece that’s just wider than the front
of the wreath form, starting with the narrow end and
crocheting until you reach the right length to fit snugly
when the ends are sewn together. (You may want to make the
piece a little larger on one long side by judiciously adding
stitches here and there, to accommodate the greater
circumference of the outer edge of the form. You’d place
this side toward the outer part of the ring.) Sew the edges
(that lap under the back of the ring) by zig-zagging across
the back, using a heavy thread. Decorate with a few
ornaments, perhaps, at the bottom of the wreath.
